If you are a fan of speedy cars and crashing bikes, like Fast and Furious, then this film is for you. The movie came to life only because of Vidyut’s actions. Crakk Movie- Story
This story is about two brothers who are fond of playing with life. Vidyut and his brother NIHAL want to be a part of the virtual gaming called ‘Maidaan’ in which there is a risk to their lives but Siddhu (Vidyut Jammwal) leaves everything to fulfill his elder brother’s win who has already lost his life in this game and goes on his own in Maidaan. FYI, Siddhu is not going to take revenge but to win the game.
The Soul of the movie is Dev and Sidhu have a wonderful fight that wins everyone’s heart. Now, don’t dare to watch the fight sequence on YouTube. Buy the ticket and watch it on a big fat screen.
Acting
Vidyut is the life of the Crakk, the kind of action you would expect from him will be seen in the best form on the screen. Talking about his acting, He has improved a lot, which I also witnessed in the film IB71.
While Nora and Amy didn’t had much to do, but still both look charming and appealing for sure.
Arjun Rampal’s acting improved at it next level. If compared with the hero Dev of the film Dil Hai Tumhara, I liked the villain Dev of Crakk more. On the large screen, his maturing age was apparent, yet he gave his performance with great intensity.
Talking about the cherry on the cake is Bijay Anand. A mature actor who delivers his best performance in the role of a lead antagonist who is the main reason of every damn thing happening in the movie.
Screen Timing
For the very first time, I am adding this point because I felt to mention this. Vidyut Jammwal is not only the lead character in the movie but he is a co-producer as well.
Usually, when the main actor is also the producer, the whole plot revolves around him and all of the attention is on the hero’s physique and slow motion but there was nothing like that in this movie. Each actor has a significant amount of screen time. For this Vidyut deserves one mark extra.
Adding on more things, Whenever I see Vidyut’s film and thought that he cannot do anything better than this, but each time he raises the bar and produces something unimaginable action that no one could have predicted.
Writing & Direction
Crakk has been written & directed by Aditya Dutt. It seems like he was highly focused on creating unbelievable action sequences and forgot the backbone of movie; story. The screenplay disappoints a lot, it has been predictable from the very first scene till the end.
There is a dialogue in the movie that I want to mention- “Mumbai mei paida hua hai mai, asman se pehle pollution dekhne ki adat hai” I am born in Mumbai, and I have experience seeing pollution before the sky. (Dialogues are written by Mahinder Pratap Singh)
However, Jamie Lever’s punch timing was up to the mark. Front Raw audience is going to like it very much.
Overall
Vidyut’s fan following is definitely going to increase. When Vidyut and Arjun went shirtless, the audience in the theater were gone crazy. But if the boys are going for Nora, then this time Nora’s charm has become a little weak, so do not keep that ‘Haye Garmi’ image of her in your mind.
None can beat Vidyut in action as he is floating in the air. The fight sequel of Arjun Rampal and Vidyut Jammwal tried to take over the film and succeeded to some extent. Still I want mention that Vidyut deserves a far better script to deliver. He is the only true Martial artist in our Industry, who is somehow managing jaw-dropping actions in mediocre stories.
