Movies in March: The first two months of the year were not very good for the film industry. Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter and Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Bataon Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya did business, but not enough to change the face of the box office.
Fighter has crossed the milestone of Rs 200 crore, but this amount is less in comparison to the budget, star cast, and hype. Shahid Kapoor’s film was also more or less similar.
Yami Gautam’s Article 370 has gained good momentum in the initial days and looking at the buzz, it is expected that the film can play a long race.
Now the trade’s eyes are on March, in which some interesting films are coming.

Operation Valentine- 1 March
This film starring Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar was earlier scheduled to release on 16th February, but it was postponed due to some reasons and is now releasing on 1st March.
Operation Valentine has been remade in Hindi along with Telugu. This is an aerial action film, in which Varun and Manushi have become Air Force officers.
It remains to be seen how much this film with a theme similar to Fighter will attract the audience.
Lapata Ladies- March 1
Although this is a small-budget film, but it has been produced by Aamir Khan and the director is his ex-wife Kiran Rao, hence this film has become important.
The movie has been produced with newcomers in the lead roles. However, Aamir has promoted this indie film extensively with his ex-wife.
Kagaaz 2- 1st March
This social drama film stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and the late Satish Kaushik in lead roles. This is said to be Satish’s last release. That’s why Anupam is very emotional about this film.
The story of the film revolves around a father whose daughter cannot reach the hospital in time due to a leader’s protest rally and dies. The father files a PIL against the rallies held on the roads.
Shaitaan- 8th March
This is one of the most awaited films of March. This horror thriller film stars Ajay Devgan, R Madhavan, and Jyothika in lead roles. The story of the film is based on black magic and vashikaran. Ajay will be seen saving his daughter from the devil in this film.
Double iSmart- 8th March
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, this action film stars Sanjay Dutt, Ram Pothineni, and Vishu Reddy in lead roles. It is the sequel to iSmart Shankar.
Yodha- 15 March
The action thriller film starring Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. The producer of the film is Karan Johar. Good performance is expected from this film.
Bastar- The Naxal Story- 15 March
The Kerala Story director Sudipto Sen’s next film Bastar – The Naxal Story is ready for release. This time in this film, Ada Sharma will be seen fighting with Naxalites. The success of this movie is largely linked to the fame of The Kerala Story.
Swatantra Veer Savarkar- 22 March
This film of Randeep Hooda is a biopic of Veer Savarkar. Along with playing the lead role, Randeep has also taken up the responsibility of direction. This film can also prove to be a surprise at the box office.
Madgaon Express- 22 March
Kunal Khemu is making his directorial debut with ‘Madgaon Express’ produced by Excel Entertainment. Divyendu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinish Tiwari are in the lead roles in this film.
Nora Fatehi will also play a special role as a male. Apart from these, Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam are also there.

The film is a con comedy starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma will also be seen in important roles.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, the film is directed by Rajesh Krishnan. This film can also prove to be a surprise at the box office.
